Today when I helped Mama get the mail after school, I was so thrilled to see that I had my very own letter! My very special Uncle Dan had mailed me a letter all the way from Virginia! This was quite a treasure for me. I didn't even want to open it for a few minutes - I wanted to study it and ask Mama over and over what the envelope said. Uncle Dan even put a puppy dog stamp on the back! Finally I let Mama open it and read it to me - I was entranced. Thank you, Uncle Dan for thinking of me and writing me such a kind, loving letter! I love you and miss you very much!
