Flowers

Today it was time to pull up the poor flowers that couldn't take the summer heat and put some new ones in. I, of course, picked out the flowers at Lowe's and then got to work in the garden with my Spongebob gloves on and my little trowel in hand. It was pretty hot out, but I had a job to do and I didn't stop until every last flower was planted! I am not sure Mama could have done it without me. Even if she could have, there is no way it would have been as much fun.

Now to Celebrate OUR Daddy!

We had a super day today celebrating our wonderful, most fun, loving and all-around excellent Daddy! We started the day by taking him to a huge brunch (complete with grits, pork and lots of fancy cakes) at Parker's on Ponce. We brought Grandmama along too, because she also thinks our Daddy is a pretty terrific Daddy, and is so proud to be his Mama! After that, I decided that I really wanted to show Grandmama the geckos at Fernbank, so we headed over there so I could teach her all about them. We had such a fun day together making messes, playing, eating delicious food, laughing and just enjoying our family, especially Daddy!

Daddy, thank you for all you do for us. You are the most patient Daddy we've ever met, you love to read us books and never say "no" to kicking the soccer ball, playing army men, or wrestling. We learn so much from you every day and love just being around you, because every day is a new adventure - you make everything fun. We love you so much, Daddy!!!

Enjoying some cake at brunch. It tastes better if you can rub a little on your face. You should try it.

One of my all-time favorite things that Daddy does to me. I laugh hysterically every time:

Father's Day with Papa

Today we went up to Papa & Bebe's to celebrate Mama's wonderful Daddy. We had some delicious lunch at Johnny Carino's and then went to play at Discover Mills. Boy did we find lots of adventures there! We rode a choo-choo train, went to an indoor skateboard park, rode a merry-go-round, saw Darth Vader made out of Legos, and watched mini-helicopters fly over our heads. Most of all, we enjoyed celebrating our wonderful Papa!

My very first ride on a merry-go-round! I giggled and studied the lights and loved waving to Papa & Bebe each time we went around:

Boy, this was the best $1 Bebe ever spent! I am still playing with this punching balloon and it has been the source of much laughter between me and my baby brother:

Then it was time for me and Bebe to hop aboard this mini train and take a spin around the mall - we had a blast together! Thank you for taking me, Bebe!

Look, the Conductor even gave us tickets!

Don't know if you know this about me, but I'm very entertaining:

While they were riding on the train, me and Papa spent some time bonding. It was nice to have him all to myself for a few minutes, and everyone
knows I love having my delicious feet tickled

Geckos!

We heard that there were some geckos visiting Fernbank, so we hopped in the car and headed over to meet them. I had never seen a gecko except for in books, and I loved them immediately. I loved watching them jump from limbs to the glass window and studying their super cool feet. Cooper was fascinated too and we went around to each gecko house to see if we could find them all. I even got some stretchy geckos to take home with me, and they have been my favorite companions ever since!

Ready to go and check out some geckos!

Can you find the geckos in this picture?

Playing with my new gecko friends - I love that they stick on the wall!

And of course, I need a tattoo before we leave:

I love geckos!

A Day at the JCCC

Mama came to visit us for a few minutes at school today and came just in time to see me in action at Water Play, and to enjoy some lunch with Cooper. I think she had a hard time going back to work - maybe next time we can just all play hooky instead!

Family Dinner

Uncle Dan came into town for a visit, and we planned a special family dinner to Parker's on Ponce to spend some time together. We had a great time and us boys were very well-behaved (which was a big "whew!" for everyone, since this is kind of a fancy restaurant). We managed to find special time with each of our wonderful family members and truly made it a night to remember. We miss you already, Uncle Dan! We love you!

Getting some lovin from Grandmama:

Did someone that loves me actually suggest that I might enjoy sucking on a lemon?

Bonding over my coloring book with Uncle Dan. Try to guess which page I colored, and which one Uncle Dan did (hint: mine has a little more of an artistic flair):

Night Out With Papa & Bebe

Tonight we got a treat - Papa and Bebe came to visit while Mama and Daddy went out to dinner and a movie. We had a great time - we had dinner, played, went to the park, took a walk and read some books. Being the sly boys that we are, we even convinced Papa & Bebe to let Cooper onto the top of our bunk bed to play - but bending the rules is what having Grandparents are for! And we didn't know it yet, but Cooper had a bad ear infection, and was still happy and sweet - what a kid this baby brother of mine is!

We just had a blast and enjoyed having a whole night with Papa & Bebe to ourselves. We love you!

The next Bo Jackson?

I'm a bad man, up here playing where the big boys hang!

What's the weather like down there?

For some reason, which I don't even fully understand, I love sticking my fingers in my brother's mouth. It is hysterical every time:

Laughing with Bebe at the park:

And look how strong my Papa is!

Foosball

This morning was Date Morning for me and Mama. We headed straight to Home Depot to work on a mini foosball table, and were surprised to find ourselves amidst an outdoor party! There were fire trucks, a radio station, free Chick-fil-A sandwiches, and all the kids were sitting under a big tent working on our projects together! Awesome!

Wanna play?
