March Madness

Can you believe that me and Mama have slacked off so much that we have NO posts for the whole entire month of March?!?? So, to get caught up, we put together a slideshow of some of our adventures throughout the month - from snow to sunny Touch-A-Truck day to painting my room to friends and smiles - enjoy!

Lowe's and a Haircut

It was build-a-racecar day at Lowe's! The 3 of us made the coolest car - the hood even lifts up when I need to check the belts or the oil! Afterwards it was time for a little touch-up haircut, but you know, I really don't mind so much when I get to watch A Bug's Life and sit in a fire engine while the nice lady chops away!

Daddy, hold on a second! Before we jump right into construction, shouldn't we check out the directions? (I am very wise for my 2 1/2 years.)

Stroller Picnics

I have grown to really love our nights of "stroller picnics". What's not to love about getting bundled up in a blanket, sitting in my comfy stroller and having my dinner served to me like a prince? We get the puppies ready (they are very excitable - much like me!) and the 5 of us head out for a nice long walk around the neighborhood or through Downtown Decatur while I enjoy my feast. Bon appetit!

Ebster Park

Since Daddy was spending the day helping our friend Raj move, me and Mama decided to venture to a park we hadn't visited yet. It was about a 10 minute walk to get there and I guess since it was a little chilly out, I had almost the whole park to myself! We had a lot of fun as we always do when we are outside - that is, until I fell off a chain ladder and bumped my chin. But, a few minutes of hugs and kisses from Mama got me feeling better, and then we decided to head back home and take a nice long nap :)

Vacation for Me AND for Mama & Daddy!

Boy oh boy, have I had one heck of an exciting week! Mama and Daddy went to California with Chick-fil-A, which meant I got the very special treat of staying at Bebe & Papa's house while they were gone. Bebe, Papa and I shared so many fun memories together during my stay - I am one lucky little boy to have two wonderful Grandparents who love me so very much, who treat me with such love and who are so much fun to spend time with to boot! I love you both and I am so thankful for you!

Here are just a few of the fun things we did together during our week together:

Ready to go and have a pancake breakfast at church - where I ate almost 2 HUGE pancakes and got to play with some toys with some new friends too!

I worked off those pancakes with all that playing - time to fill back up with a McDonald's cheeseburger!

I have not lost my love for my stacking blocks that Aunt Kelly got me for Christmas - I love to build towers and then knock them down. This never gets old:

Me and Bebe went to meet some of her old co-workers for lunch, where I was content to read them my Dr. Seuss books and display my love of lemons. I also made a very fast friend with Bebe's friend Rajesh:

We also got to spend some time at Miss Ann's house that day. I loved reading to Miss Ann and also singing "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" with her. Bebe has such nice friends - I had a great time making them my friends too!

One of my favorite things to do when I stay with Bebe & Papa is to go and visit Papa and his class at school. I love sitting with the big kids and watching Papa teach them - they love him so much, it is fun to see and makes me so proud of Papa!

Bebe even makes going to the grocery store fun:

As if this week hasn't been perfect enough, Bebe took me to Monkey Joe's one morning! We slid, jumped and laughed until we just wore ourselves out:

One of the things that always fascinates me is watching Bebe clip coupons and then organizing them in her shopping envelope, so my sweet Bebe thought she'd just make me my own set of coupons for all of my favorite foods! This just thrilled me to pieces - I took great joy in studying the coupons and then putting them in my very own shopping envelope:

Bebe and I also did lots of art together - I made some drawings for Mama & Daddy for when they get back, and also made some art with Bebe for Bebe & Papa to keep on their fridge:

Do you like my shirt? Papa & Bebe got it for me for Valentine's Day - it was an instant favorite!

Happy Valentine's Day (just a little late...)

For Valentine's Day this year, I made a special present at Lowe's for 2 of the special ladies in my life - Mama & Bebe. If you can't tell from the picture, it's a jewelry box with my purple handprints all over it. And I'm quite proud to say that it was a huge hit with both of them! I still talk about my creation and love to open and close it and gaze into the mirror. Mama thinks I am going to make a most excellent husband for one lucky, sweet girl someday - but until then, she will be my #1 Valentine!

Picnic at the Park with Mama

For our Friday together, me and Mama decided to venture to a new park for some sunshine, a picnic and playtime. I helped pack lunch and off we went! I have become quite the daredevil when it comes to climbing and trying what the "big kids" are doing - luckily Mama chokes back her terror and tries to look genuinely thrilled that I am always seconds away from a broken arm or cracked rib. Being a boy is fun!


There is a skateboard park here! We got to sit and eat our lunch while I was completely mesmerized by the boys on boards:

"Mama, chill. I'm using both hands. Breathe."

Now for the "safe" stuff so Mama can stop biting her lip and relax for a minute:

Swinging was my very first playground love and it still makes my day each time I sit my cute little booty in one:

Yellow River Game Ranch

For our weekend adventure, we headed over to the Yellow River Game Ranch to hang out with some rescue animals and feed them lunch. I was in love with the Ranch as soon as my little foot hit the ground. Animals walking around everywhere, many of them not even behind a fence! After we bought some crackers, carrots and peanuts to feed our friends, we were instantly greeted by a sweet little deer on the path. We saw lots of roosters (which was extra exciting for me, even when we were on rooster #34!), rabbits, deer, pigs, birds, ducks, goats, cows and donkeys. I just loved having the sweet animals eating out of my hand, I couldn't get enough of it!

Now, holy smokes, this might be the fattest pig I ever saw! It barely moved. Better give it some more food for some energy!
