Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today we celebrated our wonderful Daddy's birthday, and lucky for us, he picked something he knew we would love to do too!  So we headed to the Tellus Museum and spent most of the day there and had a most excellent time!  We love you, Daddy - you fill our little hearts with so much joy every day!  Happy Birthday!

Biggest tires we've ever seen out front of the museum - a sure sign this was going to be a terrific day!

All of a sudden, we couldn't find Cooper - and then we heard a squeal of joy and saw that he had raced up a hill and was running back towards us, laughing all the way!

The first thing we saw in the museum was this cool pendulum which demonstrates the rotation of the earth, and knocks down dominoes as it goes.  We were mesmerized:

And we saw things we never even knew existed:

In the Science in Motion gallery - so many things to check out in here!

And of course I couldn't resist this:

And wow, we got to pan for treasure in this room - we found lots of tiny gems that we got to keep!

In the Fossil Dig room - we found some shark teeth that we got to take home with us!

Yelling into a tube - one of the only times I have ever been asked to scream as loud as I could!  The louder I yelled, the bigger the light on the screen got:

I played with this for quite a while - the higher the frequency, the more the sand in the tubes moved - it was like creating a little tornado:

Playing with magnets:

Playing drums with some parrots:

Time to go!  And we left in true Stuckey fashion - running and laughing our heads off!
