Happy Birthday to Me!

Happy birthday to me! I am FOUR years old! Can you believe it?? I can, because I've been talking about it for weeks now. We celebrated all day long too, it was great!

When Mama came in to get me up this morning, I rolled over and said "Mama, is it my birthday today?". She said that it sure was. So I raced to the living room and stood there in my PJs and said "Where is everybody?". I was very confused about why everyone wasn't here to party! Mama and Daddy explained to me that my party would be on Saturday, that way our family could come. Ooooohhhhh, I get it! So then I ran to my room and slid into my favorite shirt and shorts and was ready to start my special day!

Mama came to get me for lunch and took me up to her office. I was giddy. A lot of Mama's friends wished me a very happy birthday, and sweet Miss Sharon in the cafeteria even sang to me! And, as if lunch could get any better, they had chocolate cake for dessert. And chocolate ice cream with M&Ms. Yes, I had both. Lots of both.

I also got to pick where we went to dinner, so of COURSE I chose my beloved Waffle House. Because it is always amazing and one of the few places where I clean my plate...and Mama's. Then it was Bruster's for some ice cream.

What a wonderful day I had today! I can't wait for my party this weekend!

So happy to be eating lunch with Mama:

Mmmmm, chocolate cake:

Maybe too much sugar? I was trying to bathe in my cake.

Checking out Mr. Truett's cars, always a favorite:

Chowing on some delicious Waffle House food:

Uh, what? I'm just trying to cram as many pieces of sausage in my mouth as possible. That okay with you?

So happy! Our super nice waiter gave me a hat to wear!

Now for my dinosaur sundae at Brusters:

My little brother is happy that it's my day too. He loves me:

Ohboy ohboy ohboy ohBOY!!! Mr. Jonathan gave me some of his old Star Wars toys and I am in heaven!

I'm so excited I can't stand it!

Okay, now I need to study this and figure every thing out about this stuff. There are all kinds of doors and hatches and buttons....I was completely enraptured for the rest of the night:

July 4th

We had our annual July 4th picnic in downtown Decatur and had a wonderful time, of course! We loaded up the wagon, walked down to the park and picnicked, played soccer, threw the frisbee, visited with our neighbors and enjoyed some awesome fireworks. So much fun! Happy 4th!

Sharing some fries with Coop:

Checking out an airplane with Grandmama:

Practicing my shooting skills with Uncle Zach. Take note of my always-out tongue when concentrating on my form:

Mama's favorite picture of the night. Maybe of the year:

Loving on my girl Molly. I am completely in love with this puppy. I think she loves me too:

Chatting with Grandmama:

A very happy Daddy enjoying some watermelon and chatting with his baby boy (that's me!):

Grandpa Tommy! Stop admiring my dimples and look up there!

Aunt Sara, why do you wear your key around your neck?

Bebe and Papa joined us a little later - so glad they came too!

I did just fine until the fireworks got so loud that my insides shook. That was upsetting. Then I needed a Daddy hug.

Meanwhile, I loved every second of it and commentated on every explosion for Bebe:

Jumping Jelly Beans

Today we drove down to Peachtree City for Will's birthday party at Jumping Jelly Beans. We had so much fun, and introduced Coop to the joy of bouncy slides. My friend Bella also took a shine to my baby brother and asked him to go on a "date" down the slide together. What a stud muffin my kid brother is!

Headed down the slide with Bella. How can Bella look so chill? It is impossible for me to go down without giggling my head off:

Coop's ready for his first trip down the slide. Follow me guys!

I'm ready, Mama. Let's do this!

WHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Bella chattin' up Cooper. Good thing Mama was there to keep an eye on these two:

Time for ice cream and cake!

Cooper loves balloons. LOVES them:

Flowers

Today it was time to pull up the poor flowers that couldn't take the summer heat and put some new ones in. I, of course, picked out the flowers at Lowe's and then got to work in the garden with my Spongebob gloves on and my little trowel in hand. It was pretty hot out, but I had a job to do and I didn't stop until every last flower was planted! I am not sure Mama could have done it without me. Even if she could have, there is no way it would have been as much fun.

Now to Celebrate OUR Daddy!

We had a super day today celebrating our wonderful, most fun, loving and all-around excellent Daddy! We started the day by taking him to a huge brunch (complete with grits, pork and lots of fancy cakes) at Parker's on Ponce. We brought Grandmama along too, because she also thinks our Daddy is a pretty terrific Daddy, and is so proud to be his Mama! After that, I decided that I really wanted to show Grandmama the geckos at Fernbank, so we headed over there so I could teach her all about them. We had such a fun day together making messes, playing, eating delicious food, laughing and just enjoying our family, especially Daddy!

Daddy, thank you for all you do for us. You are the most patient Daddy we've ever met, you love to read us books and never say "no" to kicking the soccer ball, playing army men, or wrestling. We learn so much from you every day and love just being around you, because every day is a new adventure - you make everything fun. We love you so much, Daddy!!!

Enjoying some cake at brunch. It tastes better if you can rub a little on your face. You should try it.

"Grandmama, don't look at me - the geckos are right there! You're missing them!"

One of my all-time favorite things that Daddy does to me. I laugh hysterically every time:
