Being a Great Big Brother

I love to help out with Cooper any way that I can because I just love him so much. I ask to help clean up his poopy diapers (really!), I let Mama and Daddy know when he has lost his binky, I pat his head and say "It's okay, Coopy. I'm here and I love you" when he is crying, and I even love the chance to give him a bottle. I love you Coopy and I love being your big brother!

A Smile!

I really DO love life, even if most of my days are still spent screaming my adorable little head off!

Adventures in Potty-Training: A Weekend in Underwear

Reading the comics with Daddy:

This is serious business!

A treat of chocolate for making it to the potty before soaking the floor!

I am liking this whole underwear thing - much more freeing than diapers!

Why is my big brother running around half-naked?

Making some Play-Doh people with Daddy:

A Hot Mess

Well, it was officially Potty-Training Weekend, which meant no pants, no leaving the house and lots of cabin-fever-silliness. I decided to start our adventure of a weekend off by watering the flowers in my new underwear and PJ top. And of course deciding to have a drink or two myself. I am sure the neighbors enjoyed this sight quite a lot!

Party at the Braves Game

My friend Ryan Ohde loves the Braves as much as I do, so he had his 3rd birthday party at a game. It was a great idea, a perfect idea, in theory, except when me attending the party on time means getting woken up mid-nap.

For those of you that have not had the pleasure of being around me when I have either missed my nap completely (bad) or have been woken up against my will (worse), there was really no way this was going to go well. But, Ryan's parents bought us all tickets and we didn't want to miss it. So we gave it a shot.

Cooper and I both were not the most cooperative (read: we were impossible) and Mama and Daddy called it quits after 2 innings. We tried! And failed. Now let's go to bed.

H: I wouldn't even face the dang camera. For anything.
C: Check out my lid.

A moment of happiness:

This is how Cooper spent the game. Sometimes you just have to laugh.

Thrilled.

A moment of calm between storms. But check out my cool tattoo that Ryan gave me!

Daddy's Birthday!

Today we celebrated our wonderful Daddy's birthday! He got to choose what we did all day and luckily he chose things with his oldest boy in mind (I think he likes me).

We started the day with some yummy donuts from Dunkin Donuts, then we headed over to Fernbank to walk outside and then go to see a show about the stars at the Planetarium (Mommy and Daddy thought I'd really like it, but they obviously didn't think this one through. Mistake!). After a failed attempt at watching the show, we headed home to play and then take a nap. Once we were all rested, we headed to the park to swing, run, slide, play and ride for the rest of the afternoon. We ended the day with a yummy dinner in Downtown Decatur at Nathalie's Fish House, and then cupcakes and ice cream at our favorite dessert place.

We had a great day today just spending time together - and of course telling Daddy all day how much we love and adore him! You're the best, Daddy, and we are all so lucky and blessed to get to share our lives with you!

Daddy took a break from playing to give me a smacker on the cheek. Check out my sleepy crossed eyes. And really just my face overall - I am quite a character, and only 8 weeks old!

We are quite cute together, if you ask me. Please take note of my elbow fat.

My first taste of crab cakes! And I LOVED them!

Finishing the day with a bowl of ice cream, on Daddy's lap. This day has been as much of a treat for the rest of us as it has been for Daddy!

A Kiss for Cooper

The Morning After

We had a great day yesterday at my birthday party, but were exhausted this morning. We all stumbled, half asleep, to the table for breakfast. Mama took one look at the leftover birthday cake on the table and slid it right over to her. I happily joined her, and together we enjoyed the novelty of cake for breakfast! I mean, is there a better way to start the day?

The rest of this gloriously lazy day was spent playing with all of the great toys I got. Here, I give lessons to Daddy on the proper way to handle power tools:

Birthday Party Day!

Isn't the cake that Bebe made for me awesome???

Admittedly this day didn't start off great. I got plenty of sleep last night, but I guess I rolled out of the wrong side of the bed because I was not being my sweetest to everyone. Nevertheless, we all ventured out with Grandmama, Bebe & Papa to Fernbank. We saw some pretty cool stuff, but that still wasn't enough to perk me up.

Then we tried heading to go see Ice Age at the movies. This turned out to be a good distraction, except for when Cooper decided to have an explosion all over Mama's lap mid-movie. So there she was, pants covered in orange poo, Cooper screaming (for some reason he wasn't happy about having poo covering his back all the way to his hairline. Go figure.). It took about 52 wipes to get it all off of Cooper and Mama and I think at that point we all wanted to call it a day, but dagummit, there was a party to be had!

So after the movie we headed home so Mama & Daddy could cook and I could get a (yeah right) nap.

I didn't actually nap, but having some alone time in my room sure did cheer me up - I emerged from my "nap" a new boy! From there on, we had a wonderful night. We ate some great food, I got a ton of awesome presents and happily visited with all of our guests. After blowing out the candles on my cool rocket ship cake, we headed outside to have a water gun war and to blow huge bubbles.

A perfect way to end what turned out to be a great day!

Doesn't Cooper seem pumped about my birthday party?

A chocolate chip waffle to start the day. Please no comments about how this isn't "real" food.

Papa and Cooper snuggling:

Cooper, after being stripped out of his poo-covered outfit. Daddy tried so hard to keep him happy, but it was no use.

Back home in a clean outfit and in the arms of Grandmama. A rare moment of quiet for my little brother today:

Let's eat!

Time for presents!

Bebe and Papa got me a workbench with a ton of power tools. I immediately strapped on my goggles and started sawing the house apart:

I decided that goggles were needed for the hazardous job of opening the rest of my gifts:

Finally! Time for cake! And I know how to eat some cake.

My sweet Aunt Lucy and Uncle Jeremy:

After being hit repeatedly by Daddy with a super-soaker, Mama takes a break with Cooper:

We did it! Happy birthday to me! Thank you to everyone for making my party so fun and special!
